First Week of Spawning!

The WDFW staff & FISH volunteers conducted the first two days of spawning on Monday & Tuesday (9/23 & 9/24). 1.25 million Chinook (King) salmon eggs were taken, fertilized and placed into the incubation trays! The beginning to a new generation of salmon! 59 natural origin Chinook were released upstream!

The hatchery manager also added some fertilized eggs to the FISH aquarium, so stop on by to check it out! Open 8:30-4:00pm daily.
